The Centenary Ride

8 June 2018

The Event

Places are now available to join RBLI’s 2018 two-day bike ride through the historic Great War battlefields of France and Belgium. In commemoration of the brave members of the Armed Forces who lost their lives in the First World War, the Menin Gate Ride will see fundraising cyclists travel an astonishing 150 miles from RBLI’s head office in Aylesford, Kent, all the way to Ypres, where the eastern border of France reaches Flanders Fields – the home of some of the most momentous battles of the war. After passing through the this remarkable region of western Belgium and climbing a total of more than 1000 total metres in altitude the cyclists will then arrive in Ypres, surrounded by the Salient Battlefields, in time for a rendition of the Last Post. You can either sign up to this event below, or sponsor a veteran to take part. To sponsor a veteran, please email the RBLI fundraising team on or call 01622 795961.
