Women Making a Difference
Today, RBLI is hosting a Ladies' Lunch at the House of Lords, Westminster to talk about tackling the Government's initiative of halving the disability employment gap.
Almost 100 influential women will be attending the event, which will see speeches from RBLI's Director of Strategic Development Lisa Farmer, Minister for Disabled People, Health and Work Penny Mordaunt MP, and President of the Liberal Democrats Baroness Sal Brinton.
The event will discuss what the barriers are for disabled people who need or want to work and what changes need to be made to help more disabled people into work, and to stay in work.
RBLI has been delivering employment support in the UK for nearly 100 years. It has a team of specialists who are experts in supporting people with physical, mental and cognitive disabilities and health conditions and those with mental health difficulties. RBLI has also previously delivered programmes such as WorkStep (RBLI held the 2nd largest contract in UK), Pathways to Work, New Deal for Disabled People and Work Programme – consistently delivering above target performance.
RBLI is passionate about halving the disability employment gap and believes that there is no ‘one’ solution, and that to see success, there must be a combination of solutions.
