RBLI give evidence on Jobcentre Plus

Earlier this year, Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) submitted evidence to the Work and Pensions Committee about the future of Jobcentre Plus (JCP). On 9th November, the Work and Pensions Select Committee published their report with their recommendations including that after has performing well in recent years in supporting those who are closer to the labour market, JCP must now offer equally effective support to help those with much more varied, complex and substantial barriers into work.

The report also mentions the potential support that could be offered through the Flexible Support Fund, through which RBLI is already delivering support to those with disabilities and health conditions, and to young people who have been in care.

RBLI's evidence is referenced throughout the report, which can be found at www.parliament.uk
