Queen Elizabeth Court
In 2012, Queen Elizabeth Court was awarded a “Three Star Excellence” rating from the Care Quality Commission in recognition of the services it provides.
Queen Elizabeth Court is our 40 flat assisted living scheme situated in the Royal British Legion Village. The scheme is designed to enable those of 55 years and over to live independently with the security of 24 hour on-call emergency assistance and quality, reliable, personal care on hand.
Specifically for Armed Forces Veterans (including ex-TA) and their dependants, Queen Elizabeth Court has a community feel, and many of our residents get involved in various activities around the Royal British Legion Village.
The In-House Domiciliary Care Agency allows those who don't require nursing care, but do need help with things like preparing meals or cleaning, to mantain a sense of independence, living in a friendly, community environment with others of similar backgrounds. Each of the flats has its own lounge, kitchen and wet room and is fitted with emergency call facilities. They come unfurnished, allowing residents to make them entirely their own.
Communal areas, social events and organised activities provide opportunities to socialise for the residents and lunch can be provided either in home or in the restaurant on-site.
Additional services on-site include hairdressing, osteopathy, chiropody and the provision of a guest suite for visiting families.
