About Us

RBLI’s Welfare, Healthcare and Property Services activities offer a diverse range of support and assistance to the Armed Forces community. Our family accommodation comprises 82 houses and bungalows and, along with the grounds and gardens around The Royal British Legion Village, these are maintained by our in-house team. Mountbatten Pavilion offers supported housing for single Armed Forces veterans or dependants and Prince Philip Lodge – a block of six self contained two bedroom flats – offers transitional accommodation for veterans repatriating from abroad.

Our Welfare service provides a range of expert information, advice and guidance on subjects such as benefits, war pensions, well-being and veterans’ advice, as well as access to community projects such as computer training, health and fitness classes and youth activities. Our aim is to promote initiatives which enhance the health, well-being and independence of all our beneficiaries.

RBLI also provides healthcare to ex Service men, women and their dependants. Queen Elizabeth Court is a modern, 40 flat assisted living scheme for people who require a level of home care from our on-site domiciliary care team. Gavin Astor House, our fifty bedded nursing home offers quality high dependency care in a home from home environment run by friendly, skilled staff for whom the comfort and care of residents is their priority.

Our village housing provides a range of permanent residential accommodation on a tenancy basis for individuals, couples and families from the Armed Forces Community. This is delivered and maintained by our Property Services team, who also provide a range of facilities services to external parties.
