RBLI’s Welfare, Healthcare and Property Services offer a diverse range of support and assistance to the Armed Forces community and others who are disadvantaged by disability, a health condition or social welfare needs.
Our family accommodation comprises 82 houses and bungalows and, along with the grounds and gardens around The Royal British Legion Village, these are maintained by our in-house Property Services Team.
Mountbatten Pavilion offers supported housing for single Armed Forces veterans or dependants and Prince Philip Lodge – a block of six self contained two bedroom flats – offers transitional accommodation for veterans repatriating from abroad.
RBLI also provides healthcare through assisted living schemes and nursing homes. Queen Elizabeth Court is a modern, 40 flat assisted living scheme for ex-servicemen/women or their dependants who require a level of home care from our on-site domiciliary care team.
Gavin Astor House, our fifty bedded nursing home offers high-quality, high-dependency care to those aged 18+, whether or not they have a service connection, with private rooms run by friendly, skilled staff who prioritise the comfort and care of residents.
We also run a Health and Wellbeing Service, which provides a range of expert information, advice and guidance on subjects such as benefits, war pensions, wellbeing and veterans’ advice, as well as access to community projects such as computer training, health and fitness classes and youth activities. Our aim is to promote initiatives which enhance the health, wellbeing and independence of all our beneficiaries.
