In-Work Support and Job Retention
Sometimes an employee’s health condition or disability can mean they need a little extra help within the workplace to settle in or adapt to a new routine. For example, they may take some time to learn a new task and need one-to-one coaching, they may need help establishing working relationships, or may need help just to settle into the workplace culture. This can be challenging for the employer, but help is available. Using our unique heritage and almost 100 years of experience, we have developed and in-work support and absence solution service, Balance. This service helps individuals manage issues which can lead to absence and, ultimately, loss of employment. We provide confidential help and support, including offering advice on managing a health condition at work to support with personal issues which may impact on work. Our specialist in-work support.
Advisors work with the individual and the employer to overcome issues, and, where appropriate, agree a support programme or personal action plan to ensure the customer is able to remain in work. This may include interventions such as training for co-workers, financial assistance, access to work support and workplace modifications, Chrysalis personal development course and job coaching.
We have a well structured approach underpinned by exceptional experience and a high degree of skill in this field. Our advisers monitor participants closely, identifying risks early to the sustainability of the position, reviewing employer factors, such as working practices, pay scales and occupational health systems as well as the cultural fit of the individual to the organisation and their ability to manage the transition in to the workplace.
We have also developed a unique distance travelled monitoring tool which allows individuals to see clearly the levels of achievement. It is also used to ascertain where support needs to be focused in order to achieve maximum success.
This structured, tried and tested approach has ensure that our sustained rate within our core services ran at 90%. We now also provide this service to a number of multinational organisations who use skills and heritage to rude their absence rates and improve their own staff turnover rates.
